Hey guys!
I hope that you've all been well, it's been a while!
Today, I read this blog post from Marc and Angel who I love to read because their posts are always about life truths that can really change your life. They're simply and utterly amazing.
What it reminded me about was the fact that being thankful for everything that you have can make you such a happy person. This is often because you can find ways of taking the goods from what could be on the surface a bad situation and it can leave you feeling so much more fulfilled because you've taken from it rather than let it take from you. It's wonderful!
Being thankful also makes you happy because it makes you realise that you have so much right in this moment. For many of us, we take a lot of things for granted and only stop to be thankful when those things are taken away from us. This can include our health as well as our wealth but also the people that we have around us.
It's become so important to me to try and be thankful today, in the now, because quite often things we have today can become things we had, like friendships or any close friends. People can slip through our fingers because we're too busy looking the other way or worrying when there's so much now to see and be thankful for. Here and now. Not yesterday, not a week ago, not tomorrow either. Now.
So, I challenge you, stop for five minutes everyday and just be thankful for what you have and what's happened to you today. You wouldn't believe how much a bit of reflection can add to your joy and leave you feeling so much more content than you could've believed to be possible. I've tried to do this by both daily journaling as well as daily blogging on my side Tumblr blog everyday through summer. If that's something you'd be interested in reading, please do go and check it out! I would encourage you to do the same, even if it's an appreciation tweet or just a moment out of your day when you become truly present.
It makes all the difference.
I hope that you all have a wonderful time doing what you're doing and I hope to speak to you very soon indeed!

Optimism and Happiness!
Hey guys! I hope that you're feeling brilliant and beautiful!
This post, is in fact being written later of the same day as the last one and I feel like I've changed my outlook a bit.
Sometimes I feel like being invisible is a great thing, other times, like when earlier today, I feel like I don't really matter but I think I often forget that it's the worth that you give to yourself that often matters the most because changes will always happen and just because you don't make friends that are really close, doesn't mean that you can't just make more friends that you can talk to when there's no-one else to.
I feel like, especially with social media, we forget that every contact that we make with another human being is really special and we should always try and forget that they could just be talking with someone else and perhaps having a more excited conversation. It's especially valuable, I think, to remember that just because they may change the way they stand with other people, doesn't mean that the way that they stand with you and the way you stand with them has to change.
Simple friendships can often mean everything, especially when you're in a new environment and just a person to talk to and to feel comfortable can be so important.
So, to wrap it up a bit earlier than some other posts, don't be afraid to lose friends because the people who matter will stay and the people who go aren't bad, they're different, just like you! :) Appreciate the similarities you find with other people and cherish them because there are billions of people who are all different, so finding friends who understand something about you is really something I personally marvel :)
I hope that you guys enjoyed this post! I feel like it compensates for the less happiness that I felt in my earlier post but please feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below! I hope to speak to you soon!

Comparing Yourself to Other People - Truth?
Hello guys! This was a topic that was playing on my mind recently:
So, all over the internet, we're all coming to the realisation that comparing yourself to other people can truly lead to your demise and your sadness and displeasure for the simple reason that you're not the person you're comparing yourself to. However, if you're true to yourself and don't try and emulate a person as perfectly as you can and down to every little detail, then should taking someone as a role model really have a bad impact on your life?
This also then comes down to what sort of qualities you admire in the idol that you have. Is it something that you can truly emulate like kindness or I don't know, perhaps one quality that doesn't depend on physical ability? Or is it their physical appearance that you can't perhaps emulate perfectly? Or an ability that perhaps is harder to gain?
I know that must sound really bad but the point I'm trying to make is, when you compare yourself to other people, you've got to remember that the success you're going to have in doing the same thing or something similar to what they do isn't going to be the same as their success, purely because of the fact you're a) different people with b) different capabilities and c) different opportunities and circumstances. This all leads to the fact that if you think that you can achieve exactly the same outcome as your idol, you're definitely mistaken.
To finish and clarify, I'm not saying don't emulate people or look up to people and try and be like them, I'm saying be realistic in your expectations of yourself because though it may seem that their definition of success is the one way you can be successful, everyone has different measures of success and that means that you've got to remember that your success will be undoubtedly different to theirs.
I really, really hope this post doesn't offend anyone and I hope and pray that it makes sense!
This post was sort of led on by Alfie Deyes' addition to the YouTube Culture discussion that's been whirling over YouTube for a good few months now. I really think, as did a few people, that he really managed to encapsulate the truth of both sides of the argument and if you haven't seen it yet and want to get a taste for the insight he provides, the link to the video is here!
Please leave your thoughts down below and stay wonderful! :)
