Visiting old people

Old people are full of knowledge and today I went to visit an old lady who's written a ton of recipes.
She was such a lovely old lady and wasn't intrusive and the conversation wasn't really that awkward at all.
It made me realise that I should try and visit the elderly more, they've lived their lives and are leaving their legacy but are too often forgotten or stereotyped.

Love you all always,
Zainab

Family Friends

I went to a wedding today, the wedding of a family friend who I admire, the bride. She's just amazingly kind.
The only thing I wish is that I could be closer to her, I don't see her much but I felt bad not being able to congratulate her more personally.
I hope that with other people in the future, I can make more of an effort and really try and make the most of the existing friendship between our families.

That's all :D
Love you all!
I hope you have a good day :) :) :)

Bitching About People

So bitching is one of my pet hates.
I find it horrible and vile and disgusting, especially if it's for no reason other than to hate on someone.
If you're not trying to help the person or if you know there's not a big chance that telling someone about a problem you have with someone is going to help anything, please don't!
Just remember what goes around comes around.
Karma.
Whatever name you want to give to it.
You make yourself such a bad person, whatever you say about that person isn't a reflection of them, it's a reflection of you.
If your friends can bitch about other people what's going to stop them bitching about you?
You lose people's trust if they know you complain about other people's flaws. You could quite easily turn against them.

So please, keep your bad thoughts to yourself, give people a second chance, give them excuses, remember that you wouldn't want to be defined by your flaws, so give that to other people too.

Have a great week!

Valuing yourself - Louis Cole

I found this video of Louis' very inspiring and thought provoking.
However it got me thinking about how hard it is to remember that even if it is beauty that attracts, personality makes people stay :)
I wear a headscarf and I'm not popular at school and sometimes I feel like a failure at being a social person and a person who's actually there for her friends and not just cowering in a corner, too quiet to ask how her friends are faring. I wish I was more daring with people I don't know as well, I think it would help me become the helpful, kind person I wish to be :)
I feel so invisible to the world sometimes and I wish I didn't feel like I have to dress better or talk to the right people to be noticed and to be talked to.
We all say it's society but if we made a choice to accept people and not judge, who's going to stop us?

What I find amazing about famous people

Now, I'm not the kind of person who likes celebrities but I am a person who absolutely loves youtubers and those who do daily vlogs too.
I find it amazing that people would share so much of their lives with everyday people and that they open themselves up to all the honest opinions that hundreds of thousands of people have of them.
I love their dedication but also that despite the fact they're famous, they're ordinary people! If you met them, they'd be normal people, not superheroes, not perfect but normal.
The fact they get so much love and hate is amazing, despite their ordinariness and I wish that all the other amazing people would get recognition for theirs too because too many people doubt their goodness and it's simply unfair.
Famous people shouldn't be idolised but accepted as a normal member of society, a friend, not someone you want to be exactly like.
It's different if they make you want to become a better person or accept yourself or inspire you to try something new but if you like them for their looks then I don't think that's right or fair.

Some of my personal favourite youtubers are:
1) O2L! A collab channel by....
- Connor Franta
- Ricky Dillon
- Kian Lawley
- Trevor Moran
- Jc Caylen
- and Sam Pottorff
I love all their personal channels too :)
2) DeeFizzy! My first youtuber!
3) IamCyr, Damon's friend!
4) Sawyer Hartman!
5) British YouTube! I watch:
- Zoella
- Pointless Blog
- Marcus Butler
- Thatcher Joe
- funforlouis
- JacksGap
- Jim Chapman
- Tanya Burr
- My Name is Chai
6) Troye Sivan - love him!
7) Tyler Oakley

And yeah! I'm love them so much because they inspire me to be me and it's awesome! :D

Sorry I didn't post all week
Love you all!

Today lalalala

So today, like every Sunday, I went to Sunday school, a muslim one because that is the religion I follow.
I always find it inspiring and refreshing and a chance to help increase my understanding about how I can perfectly practice my religion in every day life.
I also learn Arabic because that's the language that my religion's holy book is written in and Arabia is where the religion developed in the 7th century A.D. This means a lot of the religious scriptures and traditions from the Prophet are in Arabic too so learning the language is pretty important though not all would do so, rather just rely on translation which isn't as beautiful as the original itself.

As many of you will know, learning a language is pretty hard anyway, add the fact it's one of the most complex around and I only have one lesson per week plus school, I haven't really been tackling it well.

If you want to try something new, make sure you have time to refresh whatever you've learnt on a daily basis. You'll really struggle if you don't.

And that's one thing I've learnt today :)
Oh and also what burning hot chilli on the tongue tastes like!
I needed oreo milkshake and apple to rid myself of the sting D:

Anyways I hope y'all have a great day!
Keep smiling, you'll make yourself feel happier and smiling at someone might just make their day.
No day is just sad.
Try and search for the happiness hidden quietly in the darkest corners :)
Love y'all

Love for Youtubers

I love the way some youtubers are so down to earth. It's amazing. Well and Truly. Amazing. Namely, Jack Harries. Check it out: http://instagram.com/p/eiYnkopvS3/ I wish I could have experienced something similar to them. That realisation is amazing. We have no reason to be ungrateful for what we have and to forget about the rest of humanity. If you don't know about the Mother Tukkers, the Harries' twins, Louis Cole (funforlouis) and 3 other people trekked a good ole 3,500km journey across the north of India in rickshaws. They did this in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust and raised an enormous amount of money in their two week adventure. Jack's posts during the trip were both humorous and sombre and really made me appreciate my life. It made me want to join them and further my realisation and to reduce my ignorance as to how badly other people have life. I couldn't thank him enough for it. But here it is: Thank You Jack Harries for your inspirational journey and posts this year. Good Night all, have a wonderful day, wherever you are!

The great outdoors :O

Well today, I had the pleasure of having to mow my garden and if you've ever seen my garden, you'll know that's no small feat.
I am the sibling who has the joyful responsibility of mowing the lawn whenever it needs doing and in hot weather it can become a big ole chore.
Luckily today it's mild and breezy so I haven't yet ended up hot and sweaty and strongly in need of a shower.
Anyway, today I had a rather odd experience.
I saw a ton of mayflies in my garden and they scared the shit out of me. I hate them but I'm okay removing them when they somehow manage to find themselves inside the house.
Outside though, what the.....
It's a whole different ball game.
You're in their territory and you can't get them to move because there is nowhere to move them.
Lovely, amazing.
So now I have the pleasure of trying to lawn mow and ignore them.
Wish me luck!
Love you all!
Have a wonderful day wherever you are!
